Concepts Beauty & Wellbeing, an award-winning beauty and well-being salon in Huddersfield, has added the Eaton Smith Business of the Month Award to its list of accolades. The monthly business awards recognise the achievements and celebrate the success of local businesses.
Concepts Beauty was established in 2002 by Sharon Seymour who has carved a niche for the business by specialising in luxury treatments using premium brands and the use of innovative technology.

Allegro Optical based in Meltham has been awarded Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award. The business awards celebrate the hard work, brilliance and innovation of businesses based in Kirklees, Calderdale or Wakefield.
Allegro Optical is an optician’s practice with a difference. While the business provides professional and affordable eyecare to the local community it also provides a bespoke optical service to musicians worldwide. The company specialises in providing individual optical solutions to professional and amateur performers who when reaching middle age struggle to focus on printed music, directions and written notes. As well as attracting local business, Allegro Optical has seen clients flying in from Switzerland, Austria and Germany for consultations and new glasses. They have also received enquiries from as far afield as Japan and Australia.

Scriba PR has added the Eaton Smith Business of the Month Award to their list of accolades. The Business of the Month Award has been running since 1995 and recognises businesses for their hard work, brilliance and innovation.
Scriba PR is a technical PR agency founded by Katie Mallinson in 2013. The PR industry is very competitive but the Scriba PR found a way to stand out by specialising in PR for technical B2B firms and focussing on briefs that most agencies shy away from.

Birstall based PMG Print Management is the latest business to be awarded Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award.

10 Associates from Mirfield have become the latest recipient of Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month Award.
10 Associates was established in 2004 by three colleagues who had worked together for other creative agencies for many years. The company helps grow businesses through their unique Brandschool® process, creative understanding and commercial insight. They also have ambitious plans for the future with the launch of an online product.

Stada Video was first established by entrepreneur and independent filmmaker Danny Lacey in 2009. The company grew quickly and, within a few years, he began hiring staff and started tackling larger projects. Stada Video has produced video content for over 100 companies of all sizes and has expanded their services to include a video marketing package that makes full use of the latest technology and online trends to help businesses distribute their video content for maximum impact.

Innovate Orthopaedics was created in 2015 by Alex Gutteridge and Hannah Longbottom who saw an unfulfilled need in the medical device world. Their aim was to create a business that worked directly with customers to design products they actually wanted and operate in a nimble manner bringing products to market faster than their larger competitors. In just over a year Innovate Orthopaedics was able to design, prototype, manufacture, test and bring to market their first product. They also gained the all-important CE mark which meant that they could sell their product. Their products are used by orthopaedic surgeons to repair knee ligaments in NHS Teaching Hospitals, District Generals and Private Hospitals across the UK, Northern Ireland and, more recently, New Zealand.

Propack was established in 1996 and remains a privately-owned family business. The business was set up to service the Direct Marketing Industry and provides direct mail and digital print services to a quality client base.

The team at SB Homes have been designing and developing bespoke new houses through the Colne Valley in Huddersfield for over 20 years. The firm’scurrent development is Empire Works — a mixture of 70 two, three and four-bedroomed homes in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield.

Arrow Self Drive has experienced steady, controlled growth going from a two-man operation with a handful of vans 29 years ago to employing 82 people across eight regions with over 2000 cars, vans, minibuses and trucks on fleet.

Arrow Self Drive is the first winner in the 2017/2018 Business of the Month awards series and will automatically be entered into the Business of the Year Awards which will take place in July 2018.
Arrow Self Drive which is based in Linthwaite, Huddersfield is the largest independently owned vehicle rental company in Yorkshire with over 2,000 vehicles on fleet. The founders initially began selling commercial vehicles to local businesses from a small site and a wooden hut on Manchester Road, Huddersfield in 1988. The trend for leasing vehicles was gaining popularity as customers saw the advantage of having an all-inclusive fixed cost monthly package so they put three vans onto hire to see how it went and Arrow Self Drive was born. Thirty years on, James Hill, son of founder Robert, is now the managing director of Arrow Self Drive, leading a team of more than 80 employees across its eight Yorkshire depots.
Hunter Safety is a health and safety consultancy based in Glasshoughton that works predominantly but not exclusively in the construction and manufacturing sectors. The company which was established in 2012 by Katie Hunter as a one-person operation based at her home, now boasts an impressive client base and over 30 employees. The success of Hunter Safety is due to its ability to grow and evolve to meet customer demands, endeavouring to meet whatever service the client needs in the area of safety, in order to save money for their client in the long term.
Propack was established in 1996 in Huddersfield to service the Direct Marketing industry and remains a privately-owned family business today. Not only do Propack print and prepare mail shots but their Ethical Mail product is also a postage channel. This means they sort and give the mail to the post office ready sorted in ready to deliver bags. The company employs 60 full time members of staff and staff retention is testament to the investment the company makes in them. A number of staff members have been with the company since it began.
